Fostoria Area Historical Society Museum

Fostoria Area Historical Museums contain many items of interest from Fostoria's past, including an extensive collection of items from John B. Rogers Producing Company, America's largest producer of amateur theatricals; many items that belonged to Governor Charles Foster, Fostoria's most important citizen; a classroom display containing many items from the former Whittier School; a Victorian life exhibit and a 1918 Allen Motor Car, manufactured in Fostoria on the site now occupied by the Fostoria Post Office. 

• Fostoria Area Historical Museum, 123 W. North St. — The main historical museum is in Fostoria's oldest public building, with the original portion being constructed in 1875. At one time, the building housed all city offices and departments, including the police and fire departments. 

• Foster's Museum on Main, 105 N. Main St. — This museum houses a permanent collection of items that belonged to Fostoria's namesake native,0hio Governor Charles Foster, and his family. 

• The History Comer, Comer of North Main and West North Street — will be used for special events and exhibits.
