Fête de la Musique | Celebrate Day of Music for Third Thursday
The sounds of Summer come alive in downtown Tiffin this Thursday during Fête de la Musique – Third Thursday!
Originated in France, Fête de la Musique (also known as “Music Day”) is a celebration of music where people take to the streets to perform live music. Community members and their families are encouraged to walk around downtown Tiffin and enjoy the music while shopping and supporting our local retailers and eateries. Fête de la Musique will showcase a diverse range of musical styles, from classic rock, country, and pop, to acoustic folk, indie, barbershop, blues, reggae, jazz, beatbox, R&B, and more. Music lovers of all tastes are sure to find something that resonates with them as they stroll through the streets of Downtown Tiffin.
One of the highlights of the event will be the Tiffin Community Foundation‘s sponsorship of “Kidchella” at Cherry Alley. This special area will give children the opportunity to try out different instruments, fostering a love for music and inspiring the next generation of musicians. In addition, music enthusiasts will have a unique chance to experience a remarkable tubular-pneumatic organ concert at the historic Second UCC church located at 156 Jefferson St. The church’s organ dates back to 1904. Third Thursday goers can also enjoy JAM’s Monthly Markets, that will feature their June Market and the vintage tea room ran by Tea Time Tiffin!
To enhance the evening further, Downtown Tiffin’s merchants, bars, and restaurants will be offering exclusive specials and promotions throughout the event. City Lot 7 and Court Street will also host a variety of food trucks. As the evening progresses, The Cherry Bombs will perform at The East Green Amphitheatre, sponsored by Nicole Miller – State Farm Insurance Agent. From 7-9 pm, this talented group will take center stage, captivating the audience with their dynamic high energy band featuring pop, rock and a little bit of country.
The success of Downtown Tiffin’s 3rd Thursday events would not be possible without the generous support of sponsors: Reineke Family Dealerships, UIS Insurance & Investments, and Destination Seneca County.
Don’t miss out on a great evening in our beautiful community. Music, food, shopping, and more? Sounds like music to our ears! See you Thursday!
