Ribbon Cutting | 8 Adams Street & Frost Village Lighting Ceremony
December 5 @ 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm
Organizer: Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce
Join the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 4:45 PM to celebrate the ribbon cutting of 8 Adams Street, a beautifully restored historic home that opened as an Airbnb earlier this year in Frost Village. This ribbon cutting will highlight the exceptional history and charm of this property, known as the Blair House, built in 1882. Immediately following the ribbon cutting, the Frost Village neighborhood will host its annual lighting ceremony, adding to the festive atmosphere. 8 Adams Street, also known as the Blair House, reflects the elegance of the Second Empire style of architecture, from its distinctive mansard roof to its intricate front porch details. Originally owned by James A. Blair, a successful banker and benefactor of Heidelberg College, the home has a storied history. Later owned by Henry Fiege, a local furniture maker and undertaker, the house remained in the family until 1958. This historic home will also be featured on the Tiffin Historic Trust’s Holiday House Tour on Sunday, December 8. Frost Village, where 8 Adams Street is located, is a scenic and historic neighborhood along Frost Parkway on the northern bank of the Sandusky River. Known for its 19th-century homes, meticulously restored to preserve their original charm while incorporating modern amenities, Frost Village is a unique connection to Tiffin’s history. It is home to several boutique Airbnb properties, including 8 Adams Street, and The Deli-Café at Frost Village, a favorite local gathering spot. In 2022, Frost Village and its developer, Andrew Kalnow, received the Heritage Ohio Award for Best Residential Development for their outstanding efforts to preserve and revitalize this historic area. Celebrate the history and beauty of 8 Adams Street, and experience the charm of Frost Village at this special ribbon-cutting event.
